after a long good season in Thailand, i finnaly went back home to switzerland. I do some work over here to get some money for my next trip to Brazil. I hope there is much more wind than in Thailand and also lots of good students to teach.
the summer in Switzerland is very wet... too wet for me (-:

sawadee pee mai... happy new year in Thailand, called Songkran festival, the biggest water festival in Asia. some nice pictures from the street battle all over Samui. we had a great party! after this 3month on the party island of Koh Samui and some fullmoon partys at Koh Phangan, i'm heading back to Hua Hin... hope to find some more good wind over there and some more work. My next kitespot will be brasil from september till january and maybe i'll go back to costa rica after.. for some real wind!

after a short stopover at home I was heading to Thailand again. I could stay at some friends place for the first few night in Bangkok and then we went down to Hua Hin. Finally I opened a new school at Thung Wua Laen Beach north of Chumphon. It's a bautyful place with much more basic Thai people and no bargirls and bitches around. really relaxing place! The school is running pretty well as along as there is wind. looking forward to 2007

i had a very good time down in south France with some good old friends from the last years. we were a big team of windsurf and kitesurf instructors and we had a lot of fun. the wind was mostly easterly, offshore. which is perfect for teaching with a boat, a little more gusty but flat water. And sometimes up to 7bf!

i'm back in switzerland since beginning of june. I do some work for a event managing company and work a lot on the homepages... my one, KBA and hhertig.ch. it didn't change a lot over here, nearly everything's the same.
I'm heading down to south france in septemberto work for Spinout for a month and then back to thailand in october.

Beginning of March I arrived in Hua Hin, the best Kitespot for this time of the year in Asia. We have good, steady, thermal wind, everyday when the sun shows up. There is not as much nightlife as Samui, but we still have good partys on weekend with all the people from Bangkok. I'm riding mostly 14m & 12m kites.

I had a short trip to Penang, Malaysia, because I received my work permit after 2month of paperwork. So now I have the 'Multiple entry non imigrant B visa' and can stay here in Thailand for one year, I have to go out only every 3month, for a turn around at the border.

We have some good strong winds at the moment created by a big storm over the Philippines. The water inside the reef is getting pretty choppy and we have some nice waves outside at the reef. It is still raining on some days, so the rainy season is not yet over. Everything is a little late this year, but hopefully it also stays a little longer at the end of the season.

Finally I'm in Koh Samui, there's no wind at the moment but the island is so nice and laid back, that I have enough time to enjoy. My new home is a nice wooden house close to the Orchid Resort, in the middle of palms, flowers and trees. At night you can hear so many different noises from outside, that I feel like in the jungle.
